Jan Blachowicz disapproves of the recent UFC light heavyweight title winner Alex Pereira’s callout to middleweight champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 295.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! In a series of tweets on Sunday, the former light heavyweight champion lashed out at Pereira, labeling his actions “reprehensible” and asserting that their “work is not complete.” Pereira secured a split decision victory over Blachowicz at UFC 291 in July, marking his debut in the 205-pound category.
@AlexPereiraUFC I know you’re slender. Summoning Izzie. Remarkable performance and all, but be quiet, our tasks and yours are unfinished. The next time the judge won’t assist you. pitiful. pic.twitter.com/jlv5NnohV8

Following his victory over Jiri Prochazka to claim the vacant light heavyweight title in the main event on Saturday, Pereira urged the former two-time middleweight champion Adesanya to step up and vie for the 205-pound title.
Pereira and Adesanya have clashed twice in the UFC and on two occasions in kickboxing, sparking Blachowicz’s opposition to a potential showdown.
Pereira defeated Adesanya via TKO in November 2022 to attain the 185-pound title, and Adesanya retaliated with a knockout win in a rematch in April, reclaiming the middleweight crown. Adesanya surrendered the title again in September against Sean Strickland.
I realize I must clarify.
People often portray me as a good person. Yet, like everyone else, I too experience anger. I’m still very infuriated that they robbed my victory against Perera.
Now he’s challenging Adesanya again. Give it a break already. We’ve been through this 4 times!

While Blachowicz desires another encounter with Pereira, it won’t materialize next. The Polish fighter is set to face Alexander Rakic in a rematch on January 20 at UFC 297. UFC CEO Dana White also mentioned on Saturday that former champion Jamahl Hill, who relinquished the title in July due to injury, is lined up to challenge Pereira.
This is LHW, and that split decision indicates our unfinished task here.
I’m expressing my sentiments. Don’t hold me accountable for this. Just conveying my thoughts.
This is my stance. I’m heading back to the gym. Got a new adversary and duties to fulfill.– Jan Blachowicz (@JanBlachowicz) 12 November 2023
