CPHI And PMEC India Expo Come Back With New Perspectives For The Pharmaceutical Scene – ET HealthWorld

Celebrating its 16th year of outstanding achievements, CPHI and PMEC India Expo organized by Informa Markets in India is preparing for a successful comeback. Known as the biggest and most comprehensive pharmaceutical industry event in South Asia, this premier expo is set to occur from November 28 to November 30, 2023 at the India Expo Center in Greater Noida, Delhi.

The event, alongside its associated activities, accentuates important technological advancements to propel India’s pharmaceutical machinery, technology, and materials sectors. The Indian pharmaceutical industry is gearing up for substantial expansion, aiming for a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13 per cent, envisioning a market value of $102.7 billion (Rs 8.5 lakh crore) by 2028.

The expo anticipates welcoming more than 1500 exhibitors and over 45,000 visitors from 150+ countries during the 3-day event, granting CPHI and PMEC India an exclusive chance to directly engage with key pharmaceutical executives, buyers, procurement managers, contract manufacturers, hospital administrators, as well as representatives from national and state regulatory boards and policy makers.

This year, the expo has garnered strong support from essential industry associations, including BDMA (Bulk Drug Manufacturing Association), FOPE (Federation of Pharma Entrepreneurs), KDPMA (Karnataka Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Association), OPPI (Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India), and Pharmexil (Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council), confirming its standing as the most propitious event in the industry.

Delving into this year’s CPHI and PMEC India Expo announcement, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, remarked, “In 2023, the Indian pharma industry is experiencing the ‘Rise and Rise of India’ – a perfect meld of robust domestic manufacturing base, burgeoning innovation and robust government support. With the objectives set during the G20 presidency, the industry in India is poised to reach US$ 65 billion by 2024 and surpass US$ 130 billion by 2030, propelled by heightened pharmaceutical innovation, technological advancements, and a focus on breakthrough products. A vaccine manufacturing powerhouse, India is leading the way by supplying more than 60 percent of global vaccine demand. In the future, increasing production capacity, private collaboration with players and a commitment to train 30 million professionals in digital skills by 2026.”

CPHI and PMEC India Expo encompass the esteemed ‘India Pharma Week’, which comprises a sequence of exclusive events designed to engage industry leaders and experts through various formats. A notable event is the Pharma Leaders Golf. The Pre-Connect Congress, a one-day assembly, entices 150 pharma professionals and features 20 esteemed speakers. The Pharma Leaders Roundtable is an exclusive, closed-door event that brings together senior leaders from major pharma companies. The Women in Pharma Program is a half-day event dedicated to promoting female representation and fostering diversity in the Indian pharmaceutical landscape. Pharma Talks acts as a knowledge-sharing hub, furnishing a platform to discuss new solutions, innovations, country-specific sessions, mergers and acquisitions and sustainability in the pharmaceutical sector.

Concluding the series of events, the 10th edition of India Pharma Awards honors and commends excellence and innovation in the pharmaceutical sector. The platform acknowledges the remarkable contributions of outstanding pharma brands.
