A new Tarkov patch is here.
a new patch for escape from tarkov has been released and while it’s not huge, it still takes aim at some of the more annoying bugs in the game.
The patch is being deployed to the servers right now and is expected to take around four hours, which means the game will be back up and running around noon BST/7am ET.
Perhaps the most exciting change is the many improvements and fixes to the Scav AI. While AI scavs have always been very divisive tarkov, either because of being very good at shooting yourself in the head or because it currently seems like much less of a challenge to eliminate, there is no doubt that his movement and intelligence have always been lacking. Hopefully, the upgrade will enable them to behave a little more naturally.
There are also a number of unspecified changes to several maps, including fixing geometry, collider, foliage and lighting issues. No doubt you’ve been running around tarkov And noticed some out of place views or gaps that shouldn’t be there, so some of that should also be fixed now. It’s also a safe bet to assume that the changes to the leaves also include more changes to the trees you can climb after missing some in the previous patch.
One big bug fix that will definitely be welcomed is a fix affecting registration on crouching players. If you’ve seen some strange missed shots on crouched players this could be the solution.
Other changes include some fixes for inventory freezes, fixing a bug that prevented you from transferring Scav items to your inventory and the most important patch note is that the NCSTAR MPR45 backup mount is now on the Daniel Defense RIS II FSP 9.5 handguard. can be installed. Important stuff.
Although the patch notes don’t mention anything related to the Halloween event, it’s probably a safe bet that there are some things hidden in this update that will appear when the event goes live. Overall the patch seems to be quite small based on the patch notes that have been released, so shutting down the game for four hours just for this seems unlikely.
We don’t know when the Halloween event will launch, although Nikita teased that it’s coming soon. Once the patch becomes playable it may go live, although this is somewhat unlikely as it is only October 26th.
