The starfield ship is invincible.
The Starfield Shipbuilder continues to be an exceptional choice for a gift. Gamers have swiftly crafted an array of ships, from peculiar cubes to remarkably detailed replicas of renowned starcrafts. However, the design that has captured my admiration is both ludicrous and unbelievably formidable, to the extent that it practically renders space combat ineffective.
Redditor Morfalath named it the “unbeatable ship,” but its design is incredibly simple. It’s essentially a cube composed entirely of edges and corners, resulting in a hollow center. Rather than resembling a conventional spaceship, it appears as though scaffolding would be needed to construct a ship around it. Morflath later shared a video tour of this “ship,” and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for the crew. Navigating through it is akin to maneuvering through a complex maze of doors and 90-degree hallways. The vertical stacks within the ship make it a challenging journey from one end to the other, requiring a strenuous climb. Morflath himself took more than three minutes to complete a lap around the entire structure, with a significant portion of that time spent on the ladder.
However, the stairs serve a specific function. The large size creates a significant gap in the middle of the ship, posing a major challenge for Starfield’s enemy AI. A battle video featuring a highly formidable level 58 pirate illustrates that enemy ships typically target the center of your ship, causing them to consistently miss Morphleth by a significant margin.
The Starfield NPC isn’t “invincible” because of its impressive armor or powerful weaponry. Rather, it lacks any skill in shooting whatsoever. It seems that the Crimson Fleet should consider upgrading their targeting computers. According to Morphleth, his Invincible ship excelled in every combat encounter, with the exception of a struggle against 20 pirates in the Crix system, even on the most challenging difficulty setting.
“It wasn’t achieved on the first attempt, but it is definitely feasible with this ship,” he remarked, referring to the relentless assault from the 20 ‘Skull Threat’ enemy vessels surrounding them.
The only issue seems to be that your heavenly sanctuary transforms into a complex construction of rockets and a nuclear reactor. Additionally, the third-person perspective becomes impractical due to the camera being positioned directly behind the ship’s top support beam. However, Morphlath is confident that relocating this structure to the lower edge can resolve this problem.
