Reno, Nevada-based startup world4solar is launching a freestanding modular solar canopy that can be installed in less than a day.

World4Solar’s new modular residential solar canopy is called the Heliowing, and it comes pre-assembled and pre-configured. They can also be customized: two Level 2 chargers are available per unit, and either 25 kWh or 100 kWh of battery storage is available.
The company offers two base models that can be used on grid or off-grid: the Heliowing 5 with 7.38 kWp, and the Heliowing 7 with 9.84 kWp. If it is installed on a prepared foundation by a certified installer, the installation takes only six hours.
Mark Hofer, CEO of World4Solar, said, “We are excited by the trend towards self-sufficient and energy efficient electricity for multi-unit residential and commercial establishments.
“Our contemporary decor design fits all environments, and its weather-resistant solar covered roof provides light, shade and protection from rain where needed.”
World4solar says the Heliowing has an average lifespan of 20 years and comes with a 10-year warranty.
