The summit was officially inaugurated at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC) and is scheduled to run from October 26-28, 2023.
At the WI Scholar Summit, WCEI Academy achieved a milestone by being acknowledged by the Malaysian Book of Records for hosting the largest graduation ceremony in financial quotient education for entrepreneurs. More than 1,000 diverse graduates, including 61 individuals obtaining diplomas from various parts of Asia, were presented with diplomas and certificates, underscoring the Academy’s dedication to promoting financial literacy in the region.
The focal point of the WI Scholar Summit revolves around financial self-sufficiency as a fundamental element of personal and national prosperity, a viewpoint strongly endorsed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. This vision resonates with the mission of WCEI Academy: to educate for financial autonomy and contribute to national advancement.
This year, WCEI Academy, in collaboration with Genovese University College, introduced a Certification course in Financial Quotient for individuals aspiring for financial independence. During the summit, Dr. Stephen Chu, the Founder of WCEI Academy, celebrated the successful completion of participants across different age brackets.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Chu shared insights from the Berkshire Hathaway meeting, drawing comparisons between wealth creation driven by labor-intensive efforts in the Eastern region and investment-centric approaches in the Western context. These insights motivated him to establish WCEI Academy, aimed at imparting essential financial strategies to Asian entrepreneurs. In 2023, the academy celebrated the graduation of 1,087 individuals aged between 17 and 80.
