An important milestone has been reached by the XRP Ledger. xrpscan A report on this milestone was published by an XRP ledger explorer and network analysis platform.
The 84 millionth ledger closure has been successfully completed, signifying a new achievement for the Layer 1 platform. As per the XRPScan page, the current ledger number stands at 84,019,694.
The 83 millionth ledger of the XRP ledger was concluded on October 5, indicating the completion of 1 million ledger transactions within a six-week period.
The XRP Ledger is advancing rapidly with innovations and upcoming developments. Two new XLS specifications were released for the XRP Ledger in the previous week.
The first release, “XLS-49d: Multiple Signer Lists,” will facilitate the support for multiple signer lists per account. Additionally, a new specification for NFT escrow was introduced, “0051 XLS-51d: NFToken Escrow.”
Currently, the XRP Ledger supports escrow only for one type of token, XRP. With the live implementation of XLS-20 on the network and almost 4 million NFTs on the ledger, users may desire the ability to escrow their NFTs, similar to the process with their funds.
Considering that an escrow object currently exists on XRPL, “0051XLS-51D:NFTOKEN ESCROW” suggests a minor modification to implement NFT escrow.
The XRP Ledger may also be on track to receive new features in the upcoming days. Over 80% of validators backed two amendments, “fixNFTokenRemint” and “fixReducedOffersV1,” which are now in the two-week countdown period.
Peerassist The technology announced that the EVM sidechain and XLS38 bridge successfully underwent a security audit by Bishop Fox over the weekend.
The EVM sidechain, developed in partnership with Ripple by Peersyst, introduced its DevNet version (v2) in June 2023.
